Creative Innovation 2019 (Ci2019)

Volunteer

Creative Innovation Global welcomes 20-25 volunteers from around the nation to be part of the support team for Ci events. We receive enquiries from around Australia as these opportunities are very popular amongst event managers, consultants, students in related fields (including secondary and tertiary), entrepreneurs and other helpful and caring people. A number of places are already confirmed.

Please submit a short cover note on why you would like to volunteer and your key skills relevant to being part of the Ci2019 Volunteer Team. Please send this and your CV to tania@creativeuniverse.com.au as soon as possible and no later than 28 February.

Many people have volunteered for this event over a number of years because they find the experience and learnings so valuable. As a volunteer you will be assigned a mix of relevant tasks and will be able to participate in some sessions as well as contribute to the back of house operations.

Volunteer duties are wide and varied. They include: assisting with registrations, time keeping, assisting delegates to move to the correct locations, time keeping in master class sessions, assisting videographers and graphic recorders, speaker liaison, assisting the stage manager etc

The hours for Ci2019 volunteering are as follows:

Sunday 31 March – 1pm – 5pm.
(This is the satchel packing and briefing day)

Monday 1 April – 7.30am – 5pm
(First day of the conference)

Tuesday 2 April – 7.15am – 5pm
(The opportunity to help with the gala dinner thereafter as well)

Wednesday 3 April – 8am – 6pm
(This will also include the after party/pack up as well)

“I’d like to congratulate you on the success of Creative Innovation. I found it a bold and great initiative with great presenters, moderators and MC, great subjects covered, great format, music and visualisations, great conference organisers, and great volunteers and teamwork, and a great venue and catering. It was the most inspiring conference I have ever attended and a credit to you that you’ve made this happen.

I’d also like to thank you for your generosity in giving volunteer access to the sessions to the extent we experienced – it was much much more than I had anticipated, and truly appreciated!

Finally, I’d like to mention the great enthusiasm and teamwork I experienced (and hopefully contributed to) within the volunteer group. I have been on the “other side” at many conferences and have worked in teams all my life but have not experienced that kind of energy before. Being amongst the younger volunteers was one of the highlights for me as it gave me increased insights into the younger generation. I also appreciated connecting with the more mature volunteers and finding common ground and mindsets. It was great being among people that are aware of societal realities and share my concerns of where humanity is heading.” George Prattos, Creative Innovation Volunteer

"Without a doubt the best conference in Australia with a delightful mix of creativity and big thinking bringing together an eclectic group of industry, community and education leaders. Once again, I’ve come away enthused by new ideas, more aware of future trends, and heartened by the kindness of humanity. We all have a role to play and it should be a collective one." Kerry Anderson, Founder of Operation Next Gen

"Conferences are boring. Creative Innovation is more like a rodeo for ideas, and you are guaranteed to leave wanting to make the world better for everyone." Andrew Despi, A.kin

"Kudos to Tania for organising the the 2019 CI Conference in Melbourne - it is the best I have attended so far. All the speakers and sessions were very well-planned. I have attended many conferences and this is the first I did not have the 'luxury' to skip any sessions. Your effort in this space has truly made Melbourne a global innovation and entrepreneurship hub." Danny Ong, Deakin University

"I wanted to pass along how incredible I thought Creative Innovation was and how much your passion for life and for humanity was inspiring to all of us. It was a privilege to be included and one that I am very grateful for." John Pickering, Chief Behavioural Scientist

"Creative Innovation is a transformational platform built by changemakers for changemakers. It is an educational adventure showcasing the forefront of ideas internationally." Melissa Warner, Ci2019 Scholarship Winner & Education Officer, Mind Medicine Australia

"Creative Innovation 2019 was one of the most well-organised events I’ve ever taken part in. From beginning to the end, every detail had been planned through and taken care of. Secondly, are the production values. As a result, it was possible to attend all the sessions without suffering conference burn-out, happy in the knowledge that the next piece of content was guaranteed to delight and challenge the senses." Richard Claydon (Singapore)

"Well done on another successful Ci conference. Your energy, passion and sheer determination to ensure the conference delegates get a fantastic experience is admirable." VP People & Global Capability | P&GC, Woodside Energy
